In 2025, Anike auditioned for the role of the drummer in the final Three Drummers scene of the sci-fi music video Dead Dolls Party. With her striking stage presence, she was selected for the part, and as always, her equally charismatic sisters accompanied her to the film studio for the first day of shooting.
While waiting in the hallway outside Studio 7, they noticed a young woman standing quietly in an elaborate gothic costume. She had been cast for a small role as a mysterious organ-playing witch in the same music video. Her name was Donna, and, by pure coincidence, she came from Salem.
The four girls connected almost instantly. After rehearsals they went for coffee together, where the conversation naturally shifted from filmmaking to music, favorite bands, and their shared fascination with dark aesthetics.
Anike was so captivated by Donna's witch costume and theatrical makeup that she had Donna's image printed on a tank top. The very next day she wore it while filming the famous Three Drummers sequence. The production crew liked the idea and had no objections.

The meeting did not end with coffee. The sisters invited Donna to their house, where they had been living together for several years and where their rehearsal room was located. They spent hours talking about their favorite music, exchanging demo recordings, and discussing future ideas. That evening, for the very first time, the idea of creating a band together was born.

Donna had recently left her local band in Salem and had already been considering moving to Chicago in search of new artistic opportunities. It soon became clear that she was not only an exceptional keyboard player but also an arranger and songwriter. Everything suddenly seemed to fit together perfectly.
The following day they all returned to the studio to complete their scenes. Later that evening, Anike filmed the spectacular concert sequence in front of a massive festival audience.

Over the following weeks, while Donna settled her remaining affairs in Salem and rented an apartment in Chicago, the four musicians worked together on the final versions of Broken Doll and CRISPR, laying the foundation for everything that would follow.
Donna had her own room at the sisters' house, where she often stayed whenever they worked late into the night. Naturally, they spent countless evenings talking about all kinds of stories from their lives.
One evening Donna smiled and asked,
"I really liked your story about the skeleton. How did it actually end?"
Pernilla laughed.
"Well... we really did let them take away the crate full of teddy bears, but I knew it wouldn't end there. A while later a letter arrived at our parents' house addressed to me – Pernilla Frederiksen. At first I thought it was from the university, but it turned out to be quite a surprise. I still have it."
